  • Is motivated to facilitate learning
  • Is motivated to ensure that students acquire the skills necessary for successful course completion
  • Views student assessment as a way to improve individual knowledge and skills

Please make arrangements to come to the office at your earliest convenience to pick up the following materials (we will not ship these to you):

  • Healthcare Provider CPR Instructor Manual, participant manual, DVD, stopwatch, and posters
  • Heartsaver and Family & Friends CPR Instructor manual
  • 1 AHA Instructor Binder and 1 plain binder
  • Core Instructor Manual

It’s very important for you to complete and submit to our office your verification that you have completed the Core Instructor Course online or by using the CD enclosed in the book no later than Friday, August 14, 2009. If you have not shown proof of your current AHA CPR certification, you will also need to submit this no later than Friday, August 14, 2009.

Inside the front cover of the Core Instructor manual are the directions for successful completion of the course. You can either complete this course using the book with the AHA’s website or by using the manual with the CD that’s enclosed within the book. If you use the website, you’ll need to first register and then log into the site. You can then search on “Core Instructor” and once you have “purchased” the course, it will ask for the online voucher access code from your book. There will be no charge for this and the site will not ask for credit card information. If you have difficulties, please contact our office and we can walk you thru the process.

Please dress comfortably for the class, arrive 10-15 minutes early, and be prepared to demonstrate CPR skills as requested by the instructors. The instructors have to verify that you still remember all the skills necessary in order to teach your classes. You will need to bring a highlighter, pencils, and a pen with you. At the discretion of the instructors, you will receive a lunch break of anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on how the class progresses. We suggest bringing snacks, water, and a brown bag lunch with you. McDonalds across the street from our office is about the only option if you choose to go out.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call our office. We’re open Monday thru Friday from 8am to 4pm. We look forward to working with you in the future!
